Clemson secured a commitment from Jayden Aparicio-Bailey over Georgia on Saturday.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Prattville High School (AL) standout, initially named the Tigers, Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, and Ohio State as his five finalists before narrowing his decision to the Tigers and Bulldogs.
After taking official visits to Clemson on May 29 and Georgia on June 5, he canceled scheduled visits to Auburn and South Carolina.
Ranked as the nation's No. 15 safety in the 2027 class, Aparicio-Bailey totaled 40 tackles, four interceptions, four pass breakups and a forced fumble last season. While he excelled at safety at Prattville, cornerbacks coach Mike Reed envisions him making the transition to cornerback, where his combination of size, length and physicality projects well in defensive coordinator Tom Allen's system.
Aparicio-Bailey becomes the 24th commitment in Clemson's 2027 recruiting class.
